Assembled from engineered fragments and natural textures, these works don’t just decorate a wall;
they anchor a space—singular, material, and unmistakably original.
Abstraction asks you to read with intuition and sensation—like music, it moves through repetition, energy, and mood. These assemblages are built from recognizable parts, so the mind maps its own associations. For some, forgotten memories surface; others find puzzles to consider.
Seeing happens in layers. As you return, the piece and the viewer co-author new stories and connotations. In a culture of quick, shocking images, I aim for work that rewards patience—industrial elements composed to invite your metaphors and keep yielding more over time.
I came up through two decades of military space and cyber operations—
environments built on clarity, consequence, and systems that must hold.
After service, I sought a creative practice that could carry that rigor while making room for hope.
Collage & assemblage became the method: taking engineered fragments and natural textures and
composing them into new structures. It’s a metamodern, “both/and” approach—
discipline and intuition, technology and ecology, order and repair.
The goal isn’t nostalgia or irony, but pragmatic optimism:
objects that hold complexity with calm. That means material intelligence and clean form,
signal-and-system thinking, and steadiness with human nuance.
The work reads at distance, rewards close inspection, and keeps offering new connections over time.
